OUR MISSION AT SFU: To engage campers in fun, challenging activities which promote learning, respect,
social and emotional growth, and a connection to nature and community in a safe environment.


Summer Fun University is the heart of Smugglers' Notch Resort's childrens' programs. SFU's 200-member staff loves to spend time with kids of all ages and engage in the fun activities the Resort and its beautiful natural surroundings has to offer. It is our mission to create great experiences for all of our campers: We know we have a wide range of exciting activities and great places to explore, and we work hard to take advantage of all that is available to us to provide our guests with the kind of fun that will make them want to come back to Smuggs again and again.

We take three things very seriously: Safety, Fun, and Learning. We are a state-licensed facility and we work hard to maintain the absolute best standards in care and entertainment for our kids. Rain or shine, we are here having fun, and we're glad to have you here at Summer Fun University!

Content on this site includes important resources such as work schedules and training information, but it also seeks to help you, as an SFU Counselor or staff member, navigate Smuggs as your place of employment and engage in professional development for continual improvement.
